TOPOGRAPHY Extensive Karoo plains with small hills in the north-west and ridges on the southwestern border. In the west, both the Plat River (+ -4 km) and the Kry River (+ - 3 km) pass through the farm from north to south. In the east there is a kuil that runs from east to west.

VEGETATION Mostly anchor Karoo-bush and other palatable dwarf Karoo shrubs including doringlose-vygie, bokrambos, rooilootganna and some sweet grasses. In addition to the above, there are also noors, kersbos, kapokbos and asparagus "wag-n-bietjie" on the harder eastern parts of the farm. Larger shrubs like gwarrie, pendoring, granaat, num-num etc. interspersed with shepherd's trees and grass are more evident on the ridges and there are acacia karoo and ganna along the river courses. While there are signs of historical overgrazing, the veld is in a fairly good condition.
